First sections of the Vertical Pier erected

The first section of Redcar’s, somewhat controversial, Vertical Pier were erected today.

The foundation of the vertical pier have been under construction for the past 5 months and the first pieces of the vertical piers structure have been erected today. These pieces are the start of the £1.6m The Vertical Pier which will stretch to 80 ft and will provide the public with the opportunity of spectacular views across the surrounding landscape from its viewing platform.
