Olympic Torch Visit Photographs

By published 19 June, 2012 4 Comments

Here at The Eye Magazine we have been eagerly anticipating the visit of the Olympic Torch to the Northeast Area.

Over the last few days we have witnessed some brilliant images of the Olympic Torch visiting on Flickr and have since decided to share the pictures we have witnessed as a gallery on our website courtesy of the submissions posted by local photographers in our “Redcar & Cleveland Olympics 2012″ Flickr group.

Do you have any images you would like to share in our Flickr group, and subsequently in this gallery?

Yip he was number 25 (It was his 25th birthday the day before so easy to remember!) Thank you again for your help :)

  3. Tara do you know the runners number? This might help please in finding the photo you require.

  4. Tara Metcalfe says:

First of all, well done everyone for such great photos of a wonderful day. Now to ask a favour! Does anybody have any photos of my brother, Ryan Metcalfe, who carried the torch on the first stretch through Brotton (down the hill towards the high street). I think the emotion of the day, and trying to keep up with him, caught up with me and all I have are short video clips of pavement while my mum’s attempts mainly involve the back of his head. I am so upset that despite mainly watching my camera instead of him, I still didn’t get one decent shot of him running and am desperate for any help you could provide. Anyone with anything would be my hero. Thank you so much.
