Do Penguins Migrate?

By published 15 August, 2012 No Comments

According to experts, penguins generally do not migrate great distances. However Redcar’s penguins seem to have done just that!

The Redcar penguins at their old location

As part of Redcar’s regeneration scheme the penguins were removed today to allow for the construction of the new sea defense wall and esplanade at Coatham end of the sea front.

However the penguins will return to their new home once the regeneration has been completed.

This is the latest piece of Redcar to be removed on Coatham End of the Seafront after the demolition of the old bandstand and removal of the Left Luggage sculpture.
