How does online banner advertising work?
Advertising on the www.theeyemagazine.co.uk works via banner adverts. These banners appear on a random rotation on pages on our website in set positions. Your banner will be displayed to visitors to our website. Your banner can contain your business information images and photographs and can link directly to your website. You can choose to have your banner on our homepage, news pages, story pages, poem pages, classified section or photography pages.
Each section requires an individual banner listing.
How much does it cost?
Advertising banners on our website are priced at a cost per 1000 impressions (CPM). An impression is every time your banner advert is displayed to someone visiting our website, you only pay for what you use!
Our CPM is only £2.50*
That’s only 0.0025 pence every time your banner is viewed (impression).

*All prices Exclude VAT, VAT is chargeable on advertising, Minimum booking £10 +vat (4000 impressions)
Where will my banner be displayed?
You can choose the sections of our website you wish for your banner to be displayed. You can choose from:
- Home page
- News pages
- Photography pages
- Poems pages
- Story pages
- Classified pages
So for example, if you are a photographer you may wish for your banner to only be displayed on our photo galleries.
Each section is priced individually and you can assign impressions per section. For example you could purchase 4000 impressions for £10 and assign 2000 to our home page, 1000 to classified and 1000 to news etc. once your impressions are used for an individual banner, then that banner alone is turned off.
What size and format banner can I use?
Banners can be any size up to 553px wide × 71px tall. Banners can be static images (gif, jpg), animated images (gif), HTML or Flash banners.
Do you design the banners?
A banner design service is available for an additional charge of £5 for a static banner or £7.50 for an standard animated banner.
What information can you supply me about my banner?
Once your banner is active we can supply you with how many impressions your banner has had, how many clicks* your banner has received and the click through rate (CTR)* of your banner.
*Clicks and CTR only available on static and animated image banners.
